Fibromyalgia
“Fibromyalgia”
is an incurable chronic pain condition that affects
over 3.5 million people in the United States,
and up to 3500 families in Cherry Hill alone.
Its symptoms mimic those of an arthritis, usually
widespread pain and stiffness in the joints and
muscles. Many of my patients come in complaining
of such pain.
It
is difficult to diagnose Fibromyalgia because
unlike Arthritis, Fibromyalgia symptoms do not
show up on X-rays or blood tests. This can be
frustrating and as such, many folks may go untreated
and even ignored, leaving them to have to combat
this unexplainable pain on their own. Other folks
will suffer until the pain is so severe that they
are coerced into using “prescription”
pain medication. Unfortunately, “if”
pain medication helps at all, it is only disguising
the condition, not counteracting it.
After
studying Fibromyalgia Syndrome for some time,
I have designed a fairly successful and drug-free
“Fibromyalgia Pain Management Program.”
I first like to meet with an individual
for an initial evaluation. After reviewing my
findings, I create a multifaceted regimen aimed
at dramatically reducing, as well as preventing
the pain associated with this chronic condition.
Additionally, the progress of each individual
is supervised by me on a weekly basis.
